Return of the Sunwashed - A Two Way Ticket for a Solar Wanderer

Dear Diary, how I love to start off with a good news story.....
We can hardly believe it - we thought she had left us for good - but HOORAY!!!! "Sunwashed Linen" has been given a reprieve and we hope to see her back with us very soon.
Now this might have annoyed "Country Linen" a few weeks ago because she wanted "Clean Cotton" to herself for a bit. But she has been so tired of trying to make friends with Cleopatra (sorry to say we've been a bit rude about "Egyptian Cotton" and her high and mighty ways) to form a Fresher than Fresh Fragrance Club. So she will now be over the moon to have "Sunwashed Linen" back in the trays, they always got on very well before.
Becca was pleased to hear that, though of course she had been secretly hoping that "Buttercream" would be the one to stay. We're all delighted down at our end of the shop but "Brazilian Passion Fruit" made some very uncalled for and ribald fruity jokes with "New Zealand Wild Berry" and "Greek Fig & Plum" - we all know that some customers with poor eyesight refer to "Sunwashed Linen" as "that very odd-sounding Unwashed fragrance" - but we didn't need reminding!! Just because they live two steps higher than most of us - those World Series girls do sometimes act very high and mighty. If only "Harvest" was still here, she used to be able to bring any old fruit down a peg or two!!
Guess what John said yesterday.......... go on, it's about Uncle Paul and some pictures for the Spider's Web....... he said something we thought was - that Uncle Paul had sent him a seedy load of pictures that he wouldn't be able to get "inter his net"???? It sounded dreadful, and not like John at all - but Jean was explaining to Auntie Bombana today and apparently it was a CD full of pictures of all our ancestors, so old that John couldn't use it on our Web Site (we still don't know what that is). We want to see these pictures though, Jean mentioned old mother "Plumeria", that wanton "Ginger Spice Cookie" and our old outdoor girl "Meadow Mist". I didn't know some of our old Great Aunts but Jean is going to ask John for some of the pictures for Hannah - won't that be fun - she'll show them to us I know she will.
I haven't seen you here since the tin Fairies arrived, though I might have missed you if I took a little nap, - they have been so very popular with the customers and all the ones we knew as "Vera" have already left. Doris is still here and we had a fright today when she completely lost her head...... a customer dropped her and her poor head went spinning under the candlestick shelves!!! "Blackberry" told us about it, she had a grandstand view from the Discontinued Combi. Luckily John knows how to repair Doris, Jean said he's very good with girls who've lost their heads, apparently he worked with some people called the TA and Jean thought all the girls there were crazy, we don't know why!!!?? It was a long time ago so maybe they've all recovered by now.
I just know you'll be glad to hear that "the dog who loves bears" is still around town. He came in the other day - but luckily he didn't go round the back of the shop so he missed all the little stripy Bruins and spotted Ruperts hiding in their basket!! Not many dogs come into our little world so he's a real novelty, even if he did make a mess of "Shortbread Cookie"s petticoat and frills - she was a soggy mess when he'd gone!!
Oh my goodness, just look at the time ......... it's Monday tomorrow so we've got some work to do now, we've decided to all sit with Mrs Schoolmaam Duck while she reads out the Yankee Rules for Good Little Tarts to us (that's what we believe it is - most of our customers get a copy in their Yankee Bags). We're all going up to the dark end of the shop but she'll be able to read it from her enlightened memory, whatever that means - she's a very high-fallutin Duck you know, she doesn't even need lenses in her specs - she says she can see right through us tarts and we all deserve to be told what's what!!!! We can hardly wait ......... must go now ...... Byeeeeeeee
